A plain-language glossary
A few terms that help you read the website and app.
Coin, address, key
A coin is a unit of account on a network. An address is a public representation of a transfer destination. A private key is a secret used to authorize spending. A public address does not make a private key public.
Block, miner, node
A block is the next record in a chain. A miner searches for its proof of work. A node independently validates the block. An Explorer presents information conveniently; it does not define network rules.
Version, test, audit
A version identifies specific code and rules. A test checks a selected case. An audit reviews an agreed scope. PRIVATE_LAB means a laboratory environment. None of these terms alone implies Mainnet readiness.
